| 3rd Quarter GrantsThe Centre County Community Foundation awarded $34,631 in grant awards for the third quarter of 2007. Awarded to local not-for-profit organizations and programs, these grants are from permanent funds that are held and invested by the Foundation. The Foundation holds several types of permanent funds that generate grant distributions. New grants awarded from the Foundation’s discretionary, field-of-interest and donor-advised funds are: § Art Alliance of Central PA - Exhibition Screens and Lighting - $1,000 § Centre County Library & Historical Museum - Audio Books - $1,000 § Centre County RSVP - PenPal Program, Bald Eagle Elementary - $4,900 § Centre / Huntingdon Tapestry of Health - Philipsburg Clinic - $500 § ClearWater Conservancy - Watershed Cleanup Day - $500 § La Leche League - Volunteer Leader Training - $1,000 § Make A Wish Foundation - Centre County Wish Fulfillment - $1,000 § Music Academy - Mountain Top Strings Education Program - $3,000 § Pennsylvania Centre State - Student Interns - $1,000 § Pennsylvania Dance Theatre - "Jala" at the State Theatre - $500 § PSU Sponsored Programs - Solar Decathlon 2007 - $2,500 § Presbyterian Homes / Windy Hill - End of Life Service Carts - $4,575 § Schlow Centre Region Library - Audio Books - $1,000 § State College Area Interfaith Mission - Furniture Recycling Program - $4,500 § State College Area School District (SCASD) - Jon Lodge Parent Inter- vention Program - $2,456 § SCASD Community Education - ABLE Program - $3,500 § Ulster Project of Centre County - Counselor Training and Supplies - $1,700
