| Financial Advisor InformationAs a professional advisor, you can play a key role in increasing the philanthropic resources of the community by working with the Foundation to help your clients fulfill their charitable interests. Whether your clients are interested in tax relief or finding an effective alternative to a private foundation, we can help you address their interests and goals. The Foundation is guided by a Board of Directors consisting of community leaders chosen for their philanthropic sensitivity and knowledge of the region. Our Board has earned a reputation for its management of our rapidly growing investment pool and for its ability to identify and address emerging needs throughout Centre County. Tax-ExemptionBecause the Centre County Community Foundation is classified by the Internal Revenue Service as a not-for-profit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) charitable organization, all gifts to the Foundation are tax-deductible to the maximum extent allowed by law. As a public charity, the Foundation pays no excise tax and is free of the many administrative costs and restrictions placed on private foundations, thus making the Community Foundation an attractive alternative. Our administrative costs are kept at a minimum so that more of your clients' dollars are used to address their charitable interests. Giving OptionsThrough a variety of gift planning options, we can help you serve your clients in developing bequests, donor-advised funds, or trusts that will carry out their unique philanthropic goals. In order to assist donors with varied interests and desired levels of involvement in making philanthropic decisions, the Centre County Community Foundation provides numerous giving options. We can assist donors in creating funds that meet their charitable giving needs and interests now and in the future. And, the variance clause built into our agreements ensures that donors' wishes are carried out even if the original intent of their fund becomes obsolete. Contact UsWe are happy to provide further information to assist you in making recommendations to your clients. We urge you to speak with the Foundation before you finalize will or trust language benefiting the Foundation, to ensure that we will be able to carry out your clients' philanthropic wishes.
