Foundation Property Inc.

Until 2004, all gifts to the Centre County Community Foundation had been cash or marketable securities. Appreciated securities are an especially attractive asset to use for charitable gifts because of the tax advantages.

To prepare for gifts of real estate and other forms of assets (artwork, jewelry, etc.) CCCF formed an IRS designated “supporting organization” in 2000. This organization, Foundation Property, Inc. (FPI) will review such gifts and then may accept those deemed appropriate for the Foundation. FPI accepted its first gift of real estate at the end of 2004.
