The following is a list of Funds with the benefiting not-for-profit organization and the year founded indicated. The Discretionary Fund provides the greatest flexibility in allowing the Foundation to give grants to areas of changing community needs. A Discretionary Fund is established for $25,000. Designated FundsWith the Designated Fund the donor chooses the beneficiary organization at the time the fund is established. A Designated Fund is established for $25,000. Organization Endowments The Organization Endowment is the same as the Designated Fund, but is established by a not-for-profit organization as a way to build its own endowment. Established by an individual, organization or the school district itself, the School District Fund may support a scholarship or award, an educational initiative or a specific program. County-Wide Scholarship Funds Bald Eagle Area School District Funds Bellefonte Area School District Funds Penns Valley Area School District FundsPhilipsburg-Osceola Area School District State College Area School District Funds The donor remains active by making grant recommendations from this type of fund. A Donor-Advised Fund is often a sensible alternative to establishing a private foundation. A Donor-Advised Fund is established for $100,000.
